What is SK Broadband?
SK Broadband is the fixed-line home internet and IPTV arm of SK Group, one of Korea's three major carrier groups alongside KT and LG Uplus. It is a separate company from SK Telecom, which runs SK Group's mobile network, even though both share the SK brand.
SK Broadband operates its own IP address ranges for home and business broadband customers, which is why an SK-branded home internet line typically shows as SK Broadband rather than SK Telecom on an IP lookup.
Why does my IP show SK Broadband?
If your home or office internet is an SK Broadband line, this is exactly what you would expect to see; it identifies the company that assigned your public IP address.
