What is Amazon AWS?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is Amazon's cloud computing platform, renting out servers, storage and networking to businesses and developers around the world. It is one of the largest cloud providers on the internet, hosting everything from small hobby projects to major websites and apps.
Because AWS is a general-purpose cloud platform rather than a residential ISP, no home internet customer connects "through AWS" the way they would through KT or LG Uplus; instead, AWS shows up when the traffic itself is coming from or through an AWS-hosted server.
Why does my IP show Amazon AWS?
The most common reason is a VPN or proxy service whose exit server is rented from AWS, which replaces your real ISP with AWS in any IP lookup.
